3. I3C bus timing test:

According to the MIPI protocol, as shown in the figure below, the important parameters of the OD part on the I3C bus include:

For the above important parameters, we have designed the following corresponding pages in Tower Console to help users quickly set parameters and conduct tests.

 Users can configure parameters according to their own test requirements and test the normal working boundaries of their own chips.

In the I3C protocol, the most important different parameters should be the PP part, including the following:

As shown in the above figure, assuming the duty cycle is 50%, then tLOW=tHIGH, tSU_PP + tHD_PP = tLOW or tHIGH

For example, if the frequency is set to 1Mhz, then tLOW=tHIGH = 500ns.

If you set tSU_DAT = 200ns, then tHD_PP = 500 - 200 = 300ns

If you set tSU_DAT = 500ns, then tHD_PP = 500 - 500 = 0ns

As shown in the figure above, configure according to your chip properties, select Preview, and then there will be a waveform preview to help users compare the waveform with the oscilloscope waveform, a bit like the preview function of a printer, as shown below:

Then click the write button, and the corresponding data will be transmitted to the I3C bus. If you connect an oscilloscope, you will see a similar waveform, so you can analyze the results.

From the above examples, we can see that our tool can easily verify the working boundaries of relevant parameters. It is simple and easy to use. In addition, through the API functions we provide, through Python programs, it is possible to automatically scan the normal working range of relevant parameters and obtain the chip parameter report, making the work of engineers simple and efficient, so that the time saved can be focused on the professional feature testing of their own chips.
